Finished Article

Here is my final piece of work for Project One. I wasn't sure what to change after I'd done my first draft but the more I looked at it the more I disliked it so I decided to completly change it.
I found the original one boring but when I did my first draft I made mine boring aswell so I didn't really improve on it very well. I do think it was partly down to me figuring out how to use the programme to start off with but now I think I've got my head around it. I went for colour in this piece as there wasn't a lot in the original and I've toned down the font type from my first draft as I thought it was a little too fussy and hard to read for an article.
I tracked down some more Hollister images as I found the ones that were used in the oringinal were a bit dull. I have although used two of them as I didn't want to make the article unrecognisable.
As soon as I put the logo image onto the page it all started coming together for me. I realised I wanted to match the article to the logo so I used the same colour throughout the text. The front page looks a little open with all the space but I thought it fitted in well with the tone of the nagazine as they do this a lot in the other articles. I added in extra detail with the lines to break-up empty spaces and I think it works well.
Overall I am pleased with my work as I've never done anything like this before so I think for my first attempt it's a good one.

Ted Baker Input

This is my completed brief with all of the relevant Ted Baker information.
It has the campaign objectives and all of the key requirments that they have asked for. If a group from a PR company or Marketing company were to do a job from this brief I feel they would understand it clearly and beable to produce the right image for the brand.
I have now completly finished project two and it didn't take me too long which I am surprised at as my skills arn't that developed at the moment. I feel more confident on InDesign now I have completed this project.

Finished Brief

This is my finshed brief.
I have added on all the questions that I feel are relivant to a brief and some extra ones. I researched into briefs and more or less every one I read had pratically the same questions as mine but were set out in a different manner.
I am pleased with the results as this is the first brief I have ever produced and eventhough it could probably be better I feel I need to broaden my skills before I can do so.
The only problem I had is when I knocked a button and I wasn't sure which and all my writing kept going pink but eventually I somehow got rid of it. This made me realise that I really need to learn this programme better as I wasted a lot of time messing around when I could have been working.

Behind Grazia

I watched a documentory on behind the scenes of Grazia which I found helpful as this may be a career option I am interested in.
I already watched The September Issue so I had an idea about the magazine industry but it was nice to see it from a British perspective as american Vogue is clearly on a much larger scale. Grazia looked very stressful as it's a weekly magagzine but I still found it desirable and could place myself in that enviroment.
I enjoy watching programmes about any part of the fashion industry because eventhough it is edited to show us what it wants us to see I still like to see how it all works and get a better idea if it's the job for me.
